La Ponte centru d’investigación y ecomuséu is a community-run research and cultural centre located in a small municipality called Villanueva de Santo Adriano, Asturias. Our mission is to study, preserve, and share the region’s historical and cultural heritage.
With an interdisciplinary team of sociologists, archaeologists, and anthropologists, we carry out research in history, archaeology, and ethnography. We also offer guided visits exploring pre-Romanesque art, prehistoric sites, industrial heritage, ethnography, and cultural landscapes. Additionally, we organise workshops on traditional crafts to help keep local knowledge alive.
Our work is driven by innovation, science, and hands-on experimentation, using social entrepreneurship as a way to connect the past with the present and future.
